Ask a healthcare professional before use if you have, or have had, liver problems, frequently use alcoholic beverages, or are taking any medication. Stop use and see a doctor if liver symptoms occur (unusual fatigue, abdominal pain, appetite loss, dark urine, pale stools, yellow eyes or skin). Not for use by persons under 18 years of age, or by pregnant or breastfeeding women. Do not take with alcoholic beverages. Excessive use may briefly impair ability to drive or operate machinery.

Kava is a perennial woody and evergreen shrub with vines that can grow up to approximately 10 feet (3 meters) in height.3 Its leaves are heart-shaped, tapering and large.3,7 The plant has yellow female and male flowers on different plants (dioecious) that are inconspicuous in oblong clusters.3,4 Female plants are rare and do not produce viable seed. The rhizome (rootstock) cortex is tan or pale greyish-brown in color, with white to yellow flesh.3,5,8 The rootstock bears lateral roots that reach up to 10 feet (3 meters) of root depth and less than an inch (2.5 cm) in thickness.4,5
Kava 30% powdered extract consists of the powdered ethanolic extract of traditionally grown, dried rhizome and lateral roots of Piper methysticum G. Forster, Rhiz from Vanuatu, assayed at not less than 30% kavalactones. The powdered extract consists of 45 – 72% native extract with 28 – 55% carriers (maltodextrin and colloidal anhydrous silica).
Lemon Balm is an aromatic monoecious herbaceous perennial that grows approximately one to two feet in height.3,4,5 Leaves are opposite in position, hairy and heart or ovately shaped with a toothed or crenate margin.3,4,5 Stems are characteristic of the Lamiaceae family — square-shaped, hairy and branched.3,5 Flowers are white to yellow to pinkish in color and arise from the leaf axils.3,4,5 They are small and tubular with two lips, and the lower lip has three lobes.3,9 Seeds are dry, smooth nutlets.9
Lemon Balm fresh herb consists of the certified organic, fresh, whole herb of Melissa officinalis L.,Lamiaceae.
Lavender is a small, monoecious and woody perennial shrub.3,6 It is slow growing, up to 4 feet (1.2 meters) in height and 3 feet, 3 inches (1 meter) wide.3,6 The thin silver-grey evergreen leaves are oblong to lanceolate with an entire margin and are covered in dense wooly star-shaped hairs.6,11 The leaves grow in tight groups on leafy shoots, while on the long flowering shoots they are broadly spaced out.11 The branch bark peels along the length and is grey-brown to dark brown in color.11 The flowers are small and bluish-purple to blue-grey when fresh that dry to an orange-brown color, which are surrounded by papery bracts.6,11 The petals are tubular in shape, with a larger two-lobed upper lip and a smaller three-lobed lower lip that enclose four stamen.11 The flowers are arranged in a crowded spike that can be intermittent or almost continuous along the stem with the inflorescences more crowded towards the tip.6,11 The seeds are cylindrically shaped nutlets.11
Lavender dried flower consists of the certified organic, dried, whole flower of Lavandula angustifolia Mill., Lamiaceae.
Ginger is an herbaceous perennial herb, growing up to approximately 5 feet (1.5 meters) in height.4 Its alternate lance-shaped narrow leaves are sheathed to the stem and grow upwards.4 Flower stems are shorter than leaf stems and have an egg-shaped tip with dense, large yellow-green bracts surrounding the tip.4 The orange-yellow petals of the flower have a purplish tubular inner structure.3,4 The cone flowers are scarce in a spike formation originating from a small thin bract within the larger bract.4,5 Its capsule fruit has tiny arillate seeds.4 The underground part is a horizontal rhizome that branches out resembling the fingers of a hand.4 The thin skin of the rhizome is a tan color with a yellow fibrous interior.4
